Sharmila Tagore is a Bengali actress and made her debut by acting in Bengali films. She was born to Gitindranath Tagore and Ira Baruah was born of a Asamese decent. She completed her schooling from St. John Diocesan Girl's higher secondary school. The Bengali actress was born on the 8th of December 1944. She married the then nawab of Pataudi Mansoor Ali Khan.They have three children Saba Ali Khan, Soha Ali Khana and Saif Ali Khan. Their children are well established and are into the Bollywood industry. Saba Khan is however a designer and not into acting. Sharmila Tagore has converted into Islam as she married the nawab. Her husband was the nawab of Pataudi as well as a cricketer for the Indian cricket team.She changed her name to Begum Ayesha Sultana after her marriage. She is the grandmother to two children Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan. Apart from her contribution to the Bengali cinema her progress is also noticed in the Bollywood cinema.The stunning beauty has worked opposite Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra and Shashi Kapoor. She has led the Indian film censor board October 2004 till march 2011. She was one amongst the few who achieved the Padma Bhushan in the year 2013. She was a Hindu Bengali and was born in Hyderabad.As an actress she was first seen in the movie Apur Sansar in the year 1959. She was just 14 years old then and that to without any acting experience. She got herself established as an actress in the Bollywood cinema. Her first film was Kashmir Ki Kali opposite Shakti Samanta. She show casted her talent in the movies like An evening in Paris in the year 1997, Aradhna (1969), Amar Prem (1972). In the movie Eklavya: The Royal Guard, the real life Mother and Son i.e. Sharmila and Saif Ali Khan acted in the movie. They also shared some screen space in the movie Aashiq Awara in the year 1993. In the year 2010 she was awarded the lifetime achievement award. She was announced as the top most 10 gorgeous women in Bollywood cinema.
