For the Hollywood buffs, here we bring some hot gossips and updates. Read on.

Khloe Kardashian wanted son 'badly'

Television personality and model Khloe Kardashian, who gave birth to a girl earlier this month, says she wanted a son "badly". However, she feels blessed having daughter True.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star wrote about her close bond with Mason, referring to sister Kourtney Kardashian's oldest son, reports suggest so.

Khloe, 34, tweeted, "I wanted a boy so badly because Mason and I are so close. I love our bond. I felt confident in having a boy but God blessed me with my precious True and now I wouldn't know what to do with a boy.

"True has made me sweeter and more gentle. God gives you what you need."

She also called three-month-old True her "best friend forever, for life."

Vanessa Kirby, Tom Cruise didn't discuss wedding rumours

Vanessa Kirby hadn't even met Hollywood actor Tom Cruise when reports about their alleged relationship started emerging. The actress says they chose to ignore the rumours when they started shooting for Mission: Impossible Fallout.

"We didn't talk about it. Stuff is written about everybody all the time but it isn't true. It just went away because it was so ridiculous," Kirby told a leading publication.

"We didn't talk about it because we just need to ignore that stuff. And I am sure Tom does too," she added.

Kirby's tryst with showbiz started with theatre. She then made her TV debut in 2011 with BBC's The Hour, following up her act with the role of Estrella in the BBC adaptation of Great Expectations.

She also got popular for her portrayal of Princess Margaret in The Crown. She is seen as White Widow, daughter of an arms dealer in the sixth part of the Mission: Impossible franchise. The Paramount Pictures movie is distributed in India by Viacom18 Motion Pictures.

It opened in India on Friday in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Has she learnt to deal with all that comes with fame?

"I think we just have to...It is just the part of the industry and is always growing and it isn't pleasant. You just have to concentrate on the work and don't let it affect your life on daily basis."

Janet Jackson returns to stage with a bang

Singer, songwriter Janet Jackson delivered an energetic comeback at the Panorama Music Festival on Randalls Island.

She performed on Saturday night. Fans tweeted praising the singer's performance after the break she had been on, reports suggest so.

The break was just the distraction Janet, 52, needed in the midst of a divorce and custody battle - along with what a family source describes as "some depression" after the death of her father earlier this month.

When her father, Joe Jackson died, Janet's mind was already occupied with thoughts of her brother Michael who died in June 2009, the family member said.

The patriarch died on 27 June, while the King of Pop Michael Jackson passed away on 25 June, 2009.

Janet, who has been touring for the past few weeks, is slowly returning to her old self. The singer had been preparing for the concert by "pacing and roaming around, and working out to get herself in the work mode".

Cardi B, Offset buy matching Lamborghinis

Rapper Cardi B and husband Offset have bought a pair of Lamborghini cars.

Cardi B has a blue one, and the green one is for Offset.

She took to social media to show off the brand new purchase, and posed with her husband in front of their new cars, reports suggest so.

The Instagram post invited criticism from a section of people, prompting the rapper to return to her Instagram with actual receipts -- the pink slips for the recent purchase.

She fired back in a video that was later deleted. "Why you all be saying that my cars are leased? Me and my husband, we don't lease s**t around here. And I had to cash out, completely, 'cause I don't have a f***in' license."

Cardi B and Offset welcomed their first child earlier this month on 11 July. She had dropped out of Bruno Mars' tour as she wasn't mentally and physically prepared to leave the child.

Medium no bar for Julia Roberts

Actress Julia Roberts, who is returning to the small screen with Homecoming for the first time since the 2014 TV movie The Normal Heart, says medium is no bar for her as long as she is able to "deliver entertainment" into people's homes.

Roberts said she wasn't specifically looking for a return to television when Homecoming came up for her, reports suggests so.

"I guess I didn't really think of it as small screen, big screen. I don't know - my television is pretty big," she quipped.

On a serious note, she said while having "more time to shoot and more time to unravel people" seemed like a great opportunity, she doesn't see a big distinction between the mediums today.

"Everything is just so good, the bar is just so high, and for me it's just nice to bring something into people's homes. We're like a delivery service - we're delivering entertainment into your homes," she said.

Homecoming is Amazon's new thriller based on Micah Bloomberg and Eli Horowitz's podcast of the same name. She finds it "a great old-fashioned yarn set in this really modern conundrum of a morality play".

"And you put that in Sam Esmail's (director) incredibly stylish, capable, huge hands, it seemed a very safe place to be," Roberts said at the Television Critics Association panel for the series.

The Money Monster and Wonder star felt no difference in the process of filming Homecoming from shooting a film. However, parts of it were challenging -- specifically an 11-page scene that was filmed as one continuously, travelling shot.

"It was a great mental challenge every day."

Megan Markle's father upset over her 'sense of superiority'

Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle's "sense of superiority" is disturbing, says her father Thomas Markle.

Thomas, 74, fears Meghan won't let him see any future grandchildren, reports suggest so.

The retired Hollywood lighting director told The Mail on Sunday, "The men in my family rarely live over 80 so I'd be surprised if I had another 10 years. I could die tomorrow. Perhaps it would be easier for Meghan if I died. Everybody would be filled with sympathy for her."

Thomas said he hoped to be reconciled with his daughter, who he hasn't seen since she wed Prince Harry in May.

He claims he was called by a Royal aid who told him, "You have offended the Royal Family but I can help you make an apology."

Thomas said, "I've just about reached my limit with Meghan and the Royal Family. They want me to be silent, they want me to just go away. But I won't be silent.

"What riles me is Meghan's sense of superiority. She'd be nothing without me. I made her the Duchess she is today. Everything Meghan is, I made her."

Meghan has reportedly said she has "no choice" but to ignore her father over fears he will leak the private conversations if she speaks to him.

Simon Pegg on his friendship with Tom Cruise

English actor Simon Pegg considers Hollywood actor Tom Cruise a good friend, and says it is "interesting to get a glimpse of someone about whom there is so much speculation and gossip".

"We have become friends. It has been 12 years and we have got to know each other better and better. I love working with Tom because he is such a professional and applies himself with such incredible commitment that it is hard not to try and keep up with that," Pegg told a leading publication.

The actor and comedian became a part of the Mission Impossible world as a lab technician Benji Dunn, but has graduated to a field agent accompanying Ethan Hunt, essayed by Cruise, on his dangerous missions.

"Tom is such an extraordinary person. It is very interesting to get a glimpse of someone about whom there is so much speculation, gossip and talk. It is nice to actually see with a little more clarity about who that person actually is."

Pegg is back as Benji with Mission: Impossible Fallout, which has been helmed by Christopher McQuarrie. The Paramount Pictures movie is distributed in India by Viacom18 Motion Pictures. It opened in India on 27 July in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

George Michael leaves nothing to lover Fadi Fawaz in will

Singer-songwriter George Michael has left nothing to lover Fadi Fawaz in his will.

His money is going to charities, his sisters and staff, as per media reports. The will includes a housekeeper from his North London home and another at Goring, Oxfordshire.

Andros, the singer's closest childhood friend, said most of the multi-million fortune will go to charities and Michael's sisters Yioda, 58, and Melanie, 56.

"People who worked for George and were loyal to him will be getting small amounts," he added.

However, Michael's on-off lover Fadi, who found his body, has not permanently moved out of the will.

Andros said Fawaz, 45, who received regular money from Michael, was contesting his exclusion from the will.

"Fadi is threatening to go all the way to High Court but I think the estate will have to settle with him. He has been offered 500,000 pounds and I think the estate should pay a couple of million to get rid of him," Andros said.

Dallas art dealer Kenny, 59, the singer's former beau from 1996 to 2011, was also contesting his exclusion in relation to their Goss-Michael Foundation.

The "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" singer was found dead aged 53 on Christmas Day 2016.

Chuck Lorre talks on sexual misconduct in Hollywood

Television writer Chuck Lorre parried a question on the sexual misconduct allegations against CBS Chairman and CEO Leslie Moonves, stating that the work environment should be made safe for everyone.

Lorre made the statement during an appearance on the TCA summer press tour on Sunday. He co-created The Big Bang Theory, which is currently the highest-rated show on CBS TV network, as well as several other CBS shows.

He declined to comment directly on the allegations against Moonves, but did say it is important that people feel safe when they come in to work, reports suggest so.

"I've been in some unsafe environments in television. You can read about that," Lorre joked, referencing to his infamous falling outs with stars like Two and Half Men's Charlie Sheen and Grace Under Fire's Brett Butler.

"Why would anyone want to go to work in an environment that's not nurturing? You can't do good work in an unsafe environment. It has to be made safe for everyone….That should go without saying. That's common courtesy and decency to take care of each other."

On Friday, a portal published a piece by detailing the stories of six women accusing Moonves of sexual misconduct as well as threatening to ruin their careers if they ever came forward.

Some of the allegations go back as far as the 1980s during the executive's early days in television. The CBS board of directors is expected to take up the issue of how to deal with the situation on Monday.

'Die Hard' makers celebrate film's 30th anniversary in style

A special screening of John McTiernan's action thriller Die Hard on its 30th anniversary was organised in the shadow of the film's famous Nakatomi Tower.

The screening saw a huge crowd in which many fans were spotted wearing t-shirts emblazoned with a few of the movie's unforgettable lines. 20th Century Fox celebrated the film's special milestone on 28 July with an outdoor screening at the foot of Fox Plaza in Century City, which stood in for the famed fictional tower.

Hundreds gathered on the roof of an adjacent parking garage at dusk as the gleaming structure provided a picturesque backdrop, reported as per media reports.

"It was kind of the star of the movie," Bonnie Bedelia, one of the film's actors, told Variety.

Reginald VelJohnson was present at the screening too.

VelJohnson said, "They always come up to you and say their favourite thing in the movie, and I'll have to think a minute to remember what they're talking about! But I watch it and I see things I didn't even know were there before. It's the kind of movie that always surprises you when you watch it."

Recalling how she was cast in the film, Bedelia said, "I was not looking to do an action movie, I said, 'That's not me. That's Sharon Stone or something. I'm just a gal.' They didn't want a glamour puss. They wanted someone who was pretty and could look like a leading lady, but had gravitas and you could believe was at a high level at a corporation, and yet could also look like she'd be married to a cop in New York. They were having a hard time casting it."

Penned by Steven E. de Souza and Jeb Stuart, the film released in 1988. It cost $28 million to make, but reaped $140 million internationally, setting the template for a number of blockbusters that have since followed.

Carrie Fisher irreplaceable: Mark Hamill

Ahead of actor Mark Hamill's final performance as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars films, the popular voice artist became nostalgic and remembered late actress Carrie Fisher, who was popularly known for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars films.

The 66-year-old actor on Sunday took to Twitter and shared an emotional post for Fisher, reports suggest so. "It's bittersweet facing my final chapter without her, she is simply irreplaceable. I'm finding solace in the fact that she won't be replaced and would love the worldwide outpouring of affection from those who loved her when they heard the news. Carrie on forever," he said.

Hamill also shared photos of himself and the late actress in character as Luke and Leia Skywalker over the years.

Fisher died on 27 December, 2016, a year before the release of her film The Last Jedi, in which her character had a significant role.

Hamill has announced he will reprise his role as Luke Skywalker one last time in the upcoming Episode IX, due out next year, alongside fellow star Billy Dee Williams and Fisher, as well.

The film's release is scheduled for December 2019.

Michael Rosenbaum calls Allison Mack a great actress

Actor Michael Rosenbaum has described his Smallville co-star Allison Mack, who has been arrested for her involvement in sex trafficking, as a "great actress".

Known for essaying Lex Luthor in the Superman TV series Smallville, Rosenbaum has broken his silence about Mack's sex cult arrest, reports entertainment news platform toofab.com.

Asked about Mack on "Theo Von This Past" weekend podcast, Rosenbaum said, "I've chosen not to talk about it because it's so shocking," he said. "When I was on that show, Allison was the sweetest, most professional. She was a great girl, a great actress."

Mack is currently facing multiple charges, including sex trafficking, for her work with sex cult NXIVM, for which she was believed to be second-in-command behind Keith Raniere. It is believed Mack recruited, trained and even branded young women with a symbol representing her and Raniere's initials, all in preparation for them having sex with Raniere, reports suggest so.

Recalling Mack's involvement with "self-help stuff", Rosenbaum said, "I remember her mentioning something. An organisation, I didn't really listen. I just remember thinking, 'Oh, that's a little culty. That's not for me.'"

The actor was sad to hear about Mack's condition and hinted that Raniere might have blackmailed her.

"You just don't really know someone. I thought she would be married with kids. She was smart, and her family was into music and opera and stuff, upper class. She had her stuff together," the "Breaking In" actor added.
