#AudienceVerdict: Has Ayushmann Khurrana become a member of Bollywood’s PRIVILEGED GROUP?

The world of Bollywood is glamourous and mysterious. It is a different world altogether.

MUMBAI: The world of Bollywood is glamourous and mysterious. It is a different world altogether.

It is very difficult to judge the real faces behind those masks of emotions that people carry. A standing example of the same is the incident of Sushant Singh Rajput. The man passed away on 14 June and the nation was shocked and was in disbelief. From the common man to the most celebrated actor to the Prime Minister of the nation, everyone was in utter shock.

After Sushant committed suicide, people started investigating as to why he would have resorted to the same and many attributed to his unacceptance by the Bollywood fraternity.

Well, as a part of various discussions nepotism has also become one of the widely based arguments as to how an actor from the outside would not be encouraged to showcase his talent as much as a star kid. In a part of the discussion, Ayushmann Khurrana had also narrated an incident where he was fairly new and had asked Karan Johar for his Casting Directors number. Karan gave him his landline number and when he called, he was told that they do not entertain strugglers.

However, Ayushmann’s talent gained recognition and he was given his due. Today, he belongs to the B-town camp, but there are some people who feel that Ayushmann should speak up for the newcomers so that there are no other suicides. (Also Read: These special people give Ayushman Khurana a special surprise!)

Kranti Vohra, a housewife shared, “Ayushmann siding with Karan is wrong. He is forgetting that he too was considered an outsider and was not entertained. He should speak up.”

Pragati Pagare, a student said, “Bollywood can be so dark, I never knew. Every struggler has to face rejection but nepotism is there and is for real. How much ever talent you possess, if you are an outsider, you will always be treated as one. Ayushmann Khurrana is now a part of the camp and probably wants more good work coming his way. But he should remember that it took him a lot to be a part of the fraternity and should speak up for this ignorant attitude of Bollywood towards newer talent.”

Shubh Joshi, a lawyer opined, “I think every actor knows what he is in for when he decides to become an actor. One should be head strong. Nepotism is a different issue and yes, if you are a star kid you will be given that edge. But that doesn’t mean it is right. There has to be a balance where talent from the outside should also be recognized.”

What are your thoughts on the same? (Also Read: Who is the better kisser between Ayushman Khurana and his wife?)
