This Children's Day, Nickelodeon embraces the innocence of kids through their campaign - #Khulkebolo

MUMBAI: It wasn’t a usual day for commuters at Churchgate terminus. The Mumbaikars saw Nickelodeon, India’s leading kids’ entertainment franchise with theatre group – Theatrewaalas and Western Railways come together and perform nukkad naatak for their campaign – #Khulkebolo. The play focussed on embracing the unfiltered innocence of a child was led by Nicktoons Shiva and Rudra.

The campaign – #Khulkebolo aims to embrace how children are untouched by the layers of social awareness and self-consciousness that burden youths and parents. The activity saw Nicktoons Shiva and Rudra along with theatre artists of the group Theatrewaalas perform a 12-min act for the commuters at Churchgate terminus. A small part of the act also threw light on spreading awareness on the unsafe practices adopted by passengers such as trespassing, crossing the railway lines, to name a few.

Speaking on the campaign, Ravinder Bhakar, CPRO of Western Railways said, “Nickelodeon’s campaign #Khulkebolo focusses on inspiring not just kids but adults to not let any societal burden affect the child within themselves. As we grow up, we often forget what it’s like to think and express like a child. This play helped all of us reminisce our times as a child. We are happy to have provided them a platform for the performance.”

Rohit Tiwari, the founder of Theatrewaalas commented on the association, “I am so delighted to have been approached for this campaign. The play enacts the innocent observations of a child and how they often blurt out things that they are advised not to due to their incorruptibility. As we are the keepers of our child’s innocence, the play encourages parents and youths to celebrate the child within.”

As part of the campaign, Nickelodeon, India’s leading franchise that has kids at the core for all its initiatives launched an all new film celebrating the sheer unfiltered innocence of children.  The film calls for everyone to #Khulkebolo just like kids.
