It was one great team to work with - Karan Sharma on Ekk Nayi Pehchaan

Karan Sharma

The good looking and charming Karan Sharma who gave us a glimpse of his immense acting talent in Sony Entertainment Television’s popular show Ekk Nayi Pehchaan (Jay and Kinnari Mehta Productions), that ended recently.

As he wrapped up shoots, Karan spoke at length about his experience with the show. “This was my first project as a lead and I must say I couldn’t have asked for more. With such great cast I got to learn so much about acting and the industry. Similar to my character who became strong from being an immature boy, I too have grown up with this project.”

“I had most of my scenes with Poonamji (Dhillon) and Soorajji (Thapar) and I had really become close to them. Even though they are such senior actors, they made it a point to be with us and used to behave like youngsters. From gossiping to bitching, we all used to indulge in a lot of fun times together during lunch breaks,” shared the actor.

He went on to add, “Also my dadi played by Rita Bhaduri was my favourite. From the time she came to know that I live alone she started getting lunch for me. She had been really sweet. I am really going to miss every one of them and this has been a great positive team to work with.”

Karan got a chance to work with Bollywood divas Poonam and Padmini (Kolhapure) and he quipped how he got to learn a lot from them. “They are great celebrities in their own standards and I learned so much by just observing them, I realised that a true actor has no fussiness and is very sincere to his work. I have made up my mind to now be more honest towards my work and give it all I can.”

Talking about his future plans the actor shared, “Right now I will take a break and get back soon with some good projects. There are some projects in talks and I am sure my fans will see me back soon.”

And finally Karan took the opportunity to thank his fans as he said, “You guys have been a constant support to me and I am really grateful for all the love. I was initially very skeptical about taking up the role but with the encouragement and love of viewers I think I managed to fulfill the expectations.”

Wish you luck ahead Karan!
