On 15 September at 9 pm get ready for a family night out as Star Gold brings to you one of the most heartwarming movies of the year – Ferrari Ki Sawaari. The film is in line with the channel philosophy of Karo Dil Ki. Every parent who wishes to fulfill their child’s dreams will identify with the journey of Rustam Behram Deboo, played by Sharman Joshi, as he smiles through hardship and rejection, to enable his talented son follow his dream.

Announcing the premiere, Hemal Jhaveri, General Manager, Star Gold said, “With the World TV Premiere of Ferrari Ki Sawaari, we want to inspire our audiences to Karo Dil Ki. This underlines our commitment to bring the latest and best of Bollywood and not to mention the most diverse content to our viewers.”

Lead actor, Sharman Joshi stated, “Ferrari Ki Sawaari is a story about unconditional love between a parent and a child. I’m sure that every family can relate to this story and people across the country will laugh, cry and understand every emotion from the movie. And now with the world TV premiere on Star Gold, we are confident that people will surely enjoy the movie sitting at their homes.”

Shared Boman Irani, “As a child, I loved movies and I remember how my mother did everything she could to take me to the cinema. It is then that I realized the warmth of a parent’s love and the power of following your dreams. And this movie is all about that. With the TV premier of this movie on Star Gold, It brings me happiness to know that families across the nation can now sit together and watch this movie in the comfort of their homes.”

The movie marks the coming of age of Sharman Joshi as a standalone actor, and he is ably supported by Boman Irani in his role as the cantankerous grandfather Behram Deboo, once a rising star of Indian cricket, reduced to living life in the shadows, due to petty politics.

The movie has been directed by Rajesh Mapuskar who has worked on several movies including 3 idiots and the Munna Bhai franchise. The story revolves around the lives of a little boy (Kayo) who wants to go to London to play cricket, and how that is possible only if his father, the honest Rusy (Sharman) can "borrow" a Ferrari from its owner, the God of Indian cricket, Sachin Tendulkar. The characters, who come to life as idealistic, yet cranky Bawajis, bowl us over with their undying simplicity, honesty and integrity.
