MUMBAI: Tabla player Vaibhav Verma highlights that since his childhood, he has grown up enjoying the company of the table. Now, the instrument has become his best friend.

‘I have enjoyed playing the tabla since I was in primary classes. And with each passing day, it has become an important part of my life. Like a friend, the instrument was with me in my good and bad times. It has become the way I express and enjoy my happiness. It is a way that refreshes me and help me fight bad times, just like a friend,’ Vaibhav said.

Vaibhav has gained popularity after he did a splendid job recreating Meghna Gulzar’s directorial, Raazi. The 20-year-old beautifully weaves tabla beats into the song to make a melodious number. He has previously made tabla versions of Veere Di Wedding’s super-hit song Tareefan and DJ Snake’s Magenta Riddim. The lad has received acknowledgments from various famous artists such as DJ Snake, Jubin Nautiyal, Guru Randhawa, Hardy Sandhu, and B Praak.
