Time to celebrate: Pavitra Rishta completes 5 years

Pavitra Rishta

It is time to don your party hats, make merry and have a ball! It is indeed a moment of joie de vivre for the entire Pavitra Rishta (Balaji Telefilms) family as their popular soap-serial will complete 5 years of airing on Zee TV tomorrow.

The outstanding and unrivalled show began with the heart-warming love story of Manav (formerly played by Sushant and currently by Hiten Tejwani) and Archana (Ankita Lokhade) 5 years back which enthralled the audience and made it one of the top notch shows on TV. And since then, there has been no looking back. The show has come a long way and has witnessed a few generation leaps. It has brought to light exceptional stars in the making like Asha Negi, Rithvik Dhanjani, and a generation of young actors like Karan Mehra, Ruhee Bagga, Manish Naggdev, Aparna Dixit and Karan Suchak.

In conversation with Tellychakkar.com, the stars of the well-admired show shared with us their experiences and happiness.

The versatile actor Hiten Tejwani who essays the role of Manav Deshmukh expressed his joy saying, “Completing 5 years is a phenomenal feat for us. I feel proud to be associated with something as big as Pavitra Rishta. We are one big loving family. This wouldn’t be possible without the support and love of our fans. So please keep watching and blessing us. We hope Pavitra Rishta continues to entertain you for many years to come.”

The vivacious Mrinalini Tyagi who portrays the role of Teju Deshmukh was delighted and said, “It feels really nice and good to be a part of Pavitra Rishta. In a scenario where shows go on and off air in a year; we have survived 5 years and are still going strong. My experience has been tremendous and I have learned a lot in the past 2 and half years in association with Pavitra Rishta.”

The veteran actress Usha Nadkarni has been a part of the show from the very start. “We have a great teamwork, a good storyline, and the way people live character on-screen is commendable. So it feels nice. People connect to us and see themselves in us. I have had a great experience with everybody on the sets and our show completing five years is a proof of that”, says the wonderful and feisty Savita Tai.

The very dashing and charming Karan Mehra who is currently the lead protagonist opposite Ankita Lokhande conveyed his message saying, “I want to thank the entire team of Pavitra Rishta and Balaji for sustaining a concept like this which has touched the chords of many hearts. Though a simple story of the common Maharashtrian family, it has retained realism and has been a source of entertainment for the lay people. It has been a great experience working with them. ”

We tried contacting Ankita, but couldn’t get through. Producer Ekta Kapoor too remained unavailable.

Though the show has been shifted from its former timeslot of 9pm to 6:30pm, it continues to be one of the longest-running and loved one on Indian television.

Tellychakkar.com congratulates the entire Pavitra Rishta team and wishes them all the very best!
