With a sunny smile, expressive eyes and natural acting talent, Bong beauty Shritama Mukherjee has already won us over. The actress, who was playing the lead on Star Plus’ Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan, was recently replaced from her show.

In conversation with Tellychakkar.com, the TV hottie, Shritama Mukherjee, talks about her replacement, Balaji Telefims, Asha Negi and more…

Talking about her experience so far in the show, she shared, “It was a great experience working with the production team and cast. We bonded very well. It was a big channel and I played the main role, so it was a good experience.”

Do you think production house is biased towards Gautam as only you and Vibhav were replaced? “Not at all, the decision was mutual. They are planning a new story line and saas bahu drama so they wanted mature looking people. I look too young to portray the role so there was a replacement,” said the actress.

And when we prodded her on what could have been the reason of her replacement, she stuck to her answer, “Just the story line.”

So was the replacement news shocking for you? She stated, “Vibhav was informed about the replacement and was in talks with the production team. But for me, it was a sudden thing. I was never sad with the decision as I am a very confident person.”

When we mentioned if Asha (Negi) is the right choice for the character, she stated, “That is the production house’s call! Who am I to judge her? I wish her all the best for her new journey,” she said.

Replacements always affect a celeb’s career, but Shritama denied the same and is even ready to work with Balaji again. “If I get a great opportunity and a good role or story then I would definitely do it. This industry is unpredictable so accept it and work. Sometimes things are not in our hands so you also don’t know what will happen next in your life,” added the actress.

We wondered if her payments were cleared. “Of course! They themselves called me and spoke about the payment. There is no problem with that,” she said defending them.

And finally when we asked Shritama if she would follow the series, she said, “I would like to watch and see the new story line.”
