MUMBAI: Ankita Lokhande's father Shashikant Lokhande breathed his last on Saturday, August 12. He had been unwell for several months. He was 68. The last rites were held in Oshiwara Crematorium on August 13 at 11:00 am. 

It was expected that many TV celebs will be attending the last rites, but only a few like Shraddha Arya, Aarti Singh, Srishty Rode, and Nandish Singh Sandhu paid their last respect to Shashikant Lokhande.

Ankita has been in the industry for the past many years. She has left a mark on TV and has also done a few Hindi films. She rose to fame by essaying the character of Archana in the Tv serial “Pavitra Rishta” and she has become a household name.

Post that she ventured into Hindi Movies and debuted in the movie Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and Baaghi 3. She has also participated in the dance reality show “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa” Season 4.

Recently, she had made headlines as she had participated in the reality show “Bigg Boss” where she was seen as a strong contestant and her game was loved by the audience.

She emerged as the third runner up of the game.

Well, now Ankita is out of the house and she has been seen very active on social media. She has been sharing fun reels and also keeps her followers updated with all what she is upto these days. 

Anita shared a picture of her father earlier today and mentioned how much she misses him.
