All the fans of Raj Bhattacharyya can smile as we bring a piece of good news for you!

The talented actor is all set to play a full on positive role in Zee Bangla's Aamar Durga (Acropolis Entertainment Pvt Ltd).

Talking about the role, Raj shared with Tellychakkar.com, “I am playing a doctor in Aamar Durga. My character will make a significant contribution in Charu’s (Shanchari) life but in what way that viewers will have to find out in the story. Also, my character will be an important part of Charu and Durga (Sanghamitra Talukdar)’s journey.”

So, will there be a romantic angle between your and Charu’s character? He replied, “Well, there are chances but I can’t reveal much now.”

Raj also mentioned that he is happy to be a part of the show as he will be working with many of his old colleagues again.

He quipped, “I have previously worked with both Sumanta (Mukherjee) and Sanghamitra. I share a very good relationship with Sumanta. Although he is a senior but I share a friendly relationship with him. I have immense respect for him. So, I am really happy to be a part of the serial.”

For the uninitiated, Sumanta is playing the role of a powerful minister in Aamar Durga whereas Sanghamitra, the female lead.

And no, Raj is not leaving Zee Bangla’s Deep Jwele Jaai (Tent Cinema), where he is essaying a negative role.

The actor said that it’s a challenge to play both negative and positive roles in different shows of the same channel.

He opined, “It’s a challenge to play a negative and also a positive role in two different shows of the same channel. It proves that the audience have accepted me in both the roles. But end of the day, it’s the script that does the real job and we actors support it by playing our parts. I am really happy to play Mayank (of Deep Jwele Jaai) and bag this new character.”

Great going, Raj!

His full-fledged entry will be shown from today.
