MUMBAI: This Sunday, Sony Entertainment Television’s homegrown kids singing reality show, 'Superstar Singer 3', will take you on a nostalgic ride as it celebrates the legendary RD Burman in the ‘RD40 Special’. Commemorating 40 glorious years of RD Burman’s contribution to Indian cinema, the contestants along with their captains will perform ‘40 Unique Songs’ which were iconic hits of the music legend ‘RD Burman’. So, brace yourselves for some interesting trivia and treasured memorieswith this vibrant episode. 

In a mesmerizing display of talent, 9-year-old Nishant Gupta from Gurugram, representing Mohd Danish’s team, is set to astound everyone with his classical rendition of 'Piya Bawri’ from the 1980s film 'Khubsoorat'. Super Judge Neha Kakkar and the captains were left with goosebumps at the end of this little prodigy's heartfelt act, and the easily struck high notes made this a performance to remember.

And elated Super Judge Neha Kakkar shared, “Oh My God, I am stunned! At the age of nine, performing at such a high level is extraordinary. I thoroughly enjoyed that he sang for himself; his years of dedication and hard work towards his craft were visible. Keep it up. I feel blessed to be a part of this performance.”

Captain Salman Ali shared, “Your performance made us numb. Also, as correctly mentioned by Neha Ma’am, it takes decades of effort to perform at such a high level, and hats off to your craft and your marvelous presentation. It felt as if you were not a chote ustaad, but a ‘Bade Ustaad”. You sing very well but what you did today was so good. You are the king of this classical genre; your versatility in this genre is beyond anyone’s reach, so keep it up and all the best ”.

 Adding to Nishant’s delight, a screenshot of the prolific Shreya Ghoshal's Instagram comment was shown in which she commented about one of Nishant's performances and expressed how she was in awe of his singing ability.
